Where were you ?

Do you remember where you were, what you were doing?

I do , I was in college and was getting ready to leave to drop the kids off at school. Like every morning I had the morning news on my television watching for the daily weather report.

Being from Canada I had no idea what the twin towers were, not knowing what was going on. I continued on my way . Dropped my babies off at daycare and went to school. When I arrived at school there was talk all over, I went to the study room and was watching the televsion. When I realized what had happend and then seen the second plane crash I freaked.

I called my husband and asked if he and heard the news, I was crying , I thought there was a going to be a war and we were all going to die. I instantly packed up my books, drove back to the daycare and picked up my babies and yet home.

I watched the news all day that day and for a few weeks, like i said I don’t live in the US of A but whether we like to admit it or not what happens in the US of A affects us.

I prayed more that day then I have ever prayed in my life, all theĀ  people, the children, the moms with daughters and sons, the husbands , and wives. This was horrible and something that will live in my mind forever.

My heart goes out to all the family that were affected by this day. Also to all the men and women that serve Canada and the Us of A and all the other troops .

God Bless You All

I also posted my thoughts on 9/11 today (from a Canadian’s perspective) And I said something similar about the US and how many Canadian’s wish we weren’t “attached” to them, but still, we carry a lot of it with us.
