Friday Feast #8 Chicken Pasta Gratin

It has been a while since I posted a recipes, I’m getting back into the routine since the holidays.

Hope you enjoy this one.

Ingredients

  • Chicken Breasts, amount you need to feed your family
  • 2 Shallots or half an onion;-chopped
  • 1/4 lb Mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup Chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Heavy cream or fresh cream
  • 1/2 lb Pasta ( linguine or fettuccine),cooked
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Pinch Nutmeg
  • 1 Pinch Cayenne (optional)

Directions

  • Shred chicken.
  • Cook shallots and sliced mushrooms in butter until most of the liquid has evaporated.
  • Stir in chicken,seasonings and broth.
  • Bring to boil and cook 2 minutes.
  • Stir in cream, bring to boil.
  • Turn off heat and add half the cheese.
  • Stir in pasta to combine. Place into a buttered baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
  • Broil 3 to 5 minutes.

    Wow that looks tasty and no to complicated… im going to give it a try… my girlfriend is pregant so i need to brush up on my cookery skills this is definately worth a try!!
