Friday Feast #8 Chicken Pasta Gratin

Hope you enjoy this one.
Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts, amount you need to feed your family
- 2 Shallots or half an onion;-chopped
- 1/4 lb Mushrooms
- 1/2 cup Chicken stock
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Heavy cream or fresh cream
- 1/2 lb Pasta ( linguine or fettuccine),cooked
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Pinch Nutmeg
- 1 Pinch Cayenne (optional)
Directions
- Shred chicken.
- Cook shallots and sliced mushrooms in butter until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Stir in chicken,seasonings and broth.
- Bring to boil and cook 2 minutes.
- Stir in cream, bring to boil.
- Turn off heat and add half the cheese.
- Stir in pasta to combine. Place into a buttered baking dish.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
- Broil 3 to 5 minutes.
