Big Decisions
New, The Basket | Lisa | January 10, 2010 at 4:41 pmI hate making decisions, specially ones that can really affect me and my family.
Right now I live in a 1200sq ft , 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment. I have the chance to purchase my own home. Okay it is a mobile home, but it would be mine.
The problem is , I would be down sizing . There is a porch, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms in the main bathroom there is a washer and dryer. There is no storage room. So I would have to build a shed. The only problem is ,the rooms are smaller then here. My baby girl would have to have one of the bigger rooms so that there is room for all her toys. There is a little office area. 7 feet by 7 feet, that I can add a door onto and turn it into a little room.
I would put my 15 yr old in the smaller room. I mean what does she need besides a bed , a dresser. She is really never home anyways, but she is already giving me a hard time about it all. Saying that she should get the bigger room and if not that I should be giving her the master bedroom. Excuse me , Where the fuck do kids get off these days. This child doesn’t even go to school, doesn’t work, sleeps all damm day. Doesn’t do a single thing around this place and she says this is the way it will be. Hmm I think not. But if you know any history about my wonderful daughter ( can you hear the sarcasm) you will know when she doesn’t get her way she makes my life HELL.
So now to decide, I will be making some calls this week to find out the laws and bylaws about adding additions. And if I would be able to do it. If I can , I will add a 10 x 11 addition on the front of the house which will turn into a bedroom , and also be big enough for when my other daughters come home there is a little more room. Then I will also be able to leave the little office area alone and I will have my own little office / craft area.
So I think once I talk to the town I will be able to base my decision a little better. We will see what happens in the next week.

Sigh… don’t you just love teenagers!!!
if the mobile home is on your own land, than I would think the possibility of adding on would be very good. and owning the land, if money matters get better you may be able to build on the land a regular house.
wishes for the bet for you & family!
